10点 スティール・ボール・ラン
I will admit Steel Ball Run has a very, very slow start. In fact, Stands aren't even introduced until like 20 chapters in. That's another thing: Steel Ball Run is seinen instead of shounen. That means each chapter ranges from 35 to 60 pages long in comparison to the 20 page long chapters of the Jojo Parts before. This may seem daunting at first, but once you get invested in Steel Ball Run it feels like the story was too short, despite being the longest Jojo Part to date. Steel Ball Run also changes the Jojo formula in its fights. Stands are no longer humanoid for the most part, and they function more as superpowers than spirits who fight for you. Each fight is engaging and unique, dealing with psychological warfare more than throwing blind punches. This makes the fights in Steel Ball Run among the best in the series.

10点 スティール・ボール・ラン
Serving as a soft reset for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Steel Ball Run takes the story in original and daring directions. But does it work? Oh who am I kidding? I'm going to be straight up.
I consider Steel Ball Run to be one of the greatest written works I've ever read.

10点 ベルセルク
After the Gold Age arc wraps up the story come back full circle to where it left us at the end of volume 3. But by then the rhythm of the manga has changed completely. The reader has established a deep connection with Guts, Casca, and Griffith and that only grows more as the story continues. You'll be confronted with conflicting emotions and think things like "I really want to see Guts put Griffith in the ground" and at the same time "Griffith is just so damn cool". These conflicting thoughts and emotions just go to show how invested the reader becomes with the characters.

10点 ベルセルク
The first three volumes may discourage some of the readers because it's starts off kind of slow and the initial artwork is not quite up to today's standards. However, after the reader begins the Golden Age arc it is nearly impossible to not be pulled in and become addicted to the series. It is chock-full of action, drama, character development, twists and turns, and just a dash of romance. It defies generalization and is just damn good storytelling.

10点 魔少年ビーティー
This turns SO many people away from this wonderful series. For the longest time, I was the victim of this 'judge-an-manga-by-its-art' disease. (That was an Usopp reference btw.) I hated it. It was ugly to me and I stayed far from it. The art improves gradually. Oda's style from the start to end is quite a difference, but its still the same but I honestly adore it and would want it no other way.
OVERALL:
When I decided to first started One Piece, which I watched the entire anime first and still watch it, I was like, "Hey, I think i'll watch this, it looks okay." Little did I know I had started what would become my favorite series ever. Call One Piece overrated, stupid, plotless, etc. Read it. I PROMISE you, you'll definitely change you mind. C:

As for the art, while not the best in the world, the author has done splendid jobs. The author is able to draw lots of character in every panels within one week. To add up, the art is also amazing, and it gets better (Compare the first volume with the newly out volume). Even the panelings are wonderfully well thought, making people get excited when every chapter has finished.
Lastly, i would like to mention that the plot of one piece has actually been decided since the beginning of the series. While some things may be added or changed, the main plot will always still be the same.
I can darely say that all the story, panels, flow, and dialogue, even in tiny bit, have been carefully thought by the author!

8点 岸辺露伴は動かない
Some people believe that the characters do not show a lot of character building. However, I believe this is true and a right choice from the author, as, in fact, changing character is an actual hard thing to do in real world (in majority of people). While some persona may change, there are always some things that will stick with the characters. Moreover, all the main crews are selected few who are especially made to be unique and important.
I also really like that the main protagonist itself is like a child and think simply. The main protagonist is stubborn and reckless, but also pure. While it may look so shonen-ish, but there is more from the main protagonist action when he is always protecting his crew.

10点 オインゴとボインゴ兄弟大冒険
In the other sides, while not emphasized, one piece also delivers deep knowledge of morale and some dark tragedies (Coup d'etat, country's destruction, slavery, racism, revenge , corrupt people, tyranny, black market, underworld, some dark secret in maintaining the peace, etc). Some children and people may not notice this while reading one piece; However, as the older and knowledgeable the reader get, the reader will view one piece differently when rereading it once again.

10点 ゴージャス★アイリン
STORY:
I already explained this aspect. Fairly basic but really expands into something extraordinary. It's slow at first but truly becomes greater and greater and adds to plot that keeps you on end. It doesn't repeat itself, doesn't bore you, & doesn't leave you not craving more. It has cracked me up, moved to uncontrollable tears, and made a reason to have a true obsession.
CHARACTER:
One Piece shines the greatest in this aspect. All the characters are well-developed & lovable. Even supporting characters are extremely well developed and become an integrated part of the story. When I say One Piece would be nothing without it's characters, I mean it. The crew itself makes One Piece all the more enjoyable for me.
